THE new stray dog kennelling contract has been awarded to Valley View, Hazelrigg Lane, Lancaster.
The contract, which runs for a period of 3 years, commenced on January 1, 2001, and from that date all dogs picked up by the Council Dog Warden Service, or handed in at local police stations, will be kennelled at Valley View for the 7-day statutory period.
Lancaster City Council said it was looking forward to working closely with Mr and Mrs Lewis, and thanked Animal Care, the Lancaster based animal rescue organisation, for continuing its efforts in rehoming many of the unclaimed strays.
