THE Bishop of Blackburn has spoken of his approval of Blackpool's playing host to refugees (Citizen Jan 4). Many of these so-called refugees fought with the French police that they might be permitted to leave for Britain where the pickings are richer.
Every year thousands of refugees (or asylum seekers, to use the politically correct term) disappear into the black economy to make their livings in whatever rackets they are able. They pay no taxes but the rest of us are taxed through our noses to keep Britain solvent.
The British National Party would put an abrupt end to this ridiculous open door policy. What nonsense it all is when there are thousands of millions of potential refugees who, under the present rules, could demand asylum in Europe and in Britain.
How many refugees I wonder has the Bishop taken into his palace?
