PENDLE MP Gordon Prentice will find out the latest developments at the Castle Cement plant in Clitheroe at a meeting next Friday, 19th.
Although the works are outside his constituency, Mr Prentice has always been concerned about the controversy over the company's decision to burn the controversial fuel Cemfuel at the plant.
The company has applied to burn Cemfuel and before Christmas the Environment Agency held a number of surgeries in Clitheroe to discuss the application with the public.
Mr Prentice said: "The Environment Agency is our watchdog and it is right that it should be keeping an eye on any developments at Castle Cement.
"It is also right for it to consult all interested parties in any decisions that have to be made. These decisions could affect us all."
