DELEGATES mixed breakfast with business during a successful seminar staged by two Bury-based companies.
More than 30 business people attended the event to get advice from one of the world's most successful management consultancies.
The event was a joint venture between telecommunications company Pennine Telecom and Dale Carnegie, named after the founder who wrote the business bible How to Win Friends and Influence People.
Firms across the North West attended the seminar, which was held at Pennine's new state-of-the-art business centre. The theme of the event, which was free to attend, was how to achieve business success in an increasingly competitive environment.
Among those who attended were representatives of Simon Jersey, the international clothing company, Bolton Institute and Academy Fleet Services, based in Whitefield.
Martyn Edwards of Academy said: "After just a brief meeting, I can take solid management ideas back to the workplace and implement them."
Les Rushton, Pennine customer service and marketing manager, commented: "It was a fantastic event. All those who attended took a great deal from the seminar."
Peter Naylor of Dale Carnegie, who delivered the seminar and has advised businesses including Pennine, said: "What we try to show is that business is about fun and profit."
A further Dale Carnegie breakfast seminar will take place at Pennine Telecom in Salford Street, Bury, on February 6.
