A NEW outreach service is opening in Tyldesley which aims to make sure the rights of local people are protected.
Add A Voice is offering the service at the Signpost Advisory Service, TCEC Building, Upper George Street. The first session began yesterday and will run every Thursday from 9.30 am to 12pm. The group of volunteers offers a free, confidential and impartial service to anyone experiencing difficulties with 'red tape' or who does not know how to go about seeking their rights on a particular problem. Leigh-based Add A Voice, which was formed in 1994, supports people to speak up for themselves or provides advocates on their behalf. Anyone who would like to find out more about the organisation, or volunteer to train as an advocate, can ring 01942 601563 or go to Add A Voice, 53, Church Street, Leigh.
