ST HELENS have been given permission to play tug-of-war hooker Mick Higham in the World Club Challenge against Brisbane Broncos on January 26.
The Rugby League's board of directors have extended their interim order giving the Super League champions the right to register the 20-year-old former Leigh player in the face of competition from Halifax Blue Sox.
The League initially ruled in favour of Halifax, who have launched an appeal against the latest decision and are currently seeking legal advice.
The 14-day interim order expired last Friday but the League has extended it to the end of the month.
