POTENTIAL Burnley transfer target Eugene Dadi could repeat the success of West Ham sensation Freddie Kanoute.

Both players have been brought over from France by agent Willie McKay.

And McKay believes that Dadi, who is currently on trial with Stan Ternent's Burnley squad, is as well equipped as the Hammers star to deliver the goods in English football.

"He's in the same bracket as Freddy Kanoute and he could make the same big impact," said McKay.

The agent looks after the affairs of the West Ham pair of Kanoute and Titi Camara, Chelsea's French international Marcel Desailly and Dadi and feels that the Toulouse striker could be his next successful import from French football -- with the ability to play in the Premiership.

"He could play in the Premier League no problem.

"He's good at holding the ball up, he's got a great technique and he's good in the air with a good shot.

"He has got everything you need to be a good striker," McKay added.

However, Burnley have first bite at the cherry as they look to increase their goal power and could get 27-year-old Dadi on loan with a view to a permanent deal, which could cost up to £1 million, if manager Ternent likes what he sees.

Dadi is set to play for the reserves against Bolton next week and would be keen on a move to Turf Moor, according to McKay. He added: "He knows that Burnley is a sleeping giant.

"He knows the score and he knows that Burnley are a serious club who want to go up.

"There is an opportunity for both the player and for Burnley.

"He is something a bit different to what they already have."

Dadi joined Toulouse last summer from Austrian club Linz in a £500,000 deal but is now available if the price is right.

"There are that many players over there and systems of play and the boy is more suited to English football," his agent added.

It's early days to see whether Dadi will fit the bill at Burnley and whether the Clarets would be able to come to a financial agreement.

But Ternent is keen to get another forward player into the club to compliment Ian Moore and Andy Payton and at six-feet tall the athletic-looking Dadi would appear to have the attributes the manager sees in the likes of Birmingham City striker Dele Adebola.
