COLNE 0 ATHERTON LR 5
STRUGGLING Colne are hoping to recruit former Burnley defender Jamie Hoyland -- and they need him.
John Lister's men are third bottom of the NWCL Division Two and both the teams below them, Ashton and Oldham, have games in hand. Hoyland could be signed up in time to make his debut against Tetley Walker on Thursday when, ironically, he could be paired up with former Blackburn Rovers star Glen Keeley.
On Saturday Colne's defending was their downfall. Scott Redhead, Gavin Salmon (2), Mark Fitton and Barry Massey were on target for Atherton.
