LANCASHIRE advertising and marketing agency Capricorn Fulton Harris aims to keep the company's name in the headlines in 2001 with the appointment of a new PR account executive.
Alexa Prescott, from Whalley, will be working on several accounts including Bridgedale, Paramo, Airtours International and NEL Construction Ltd.
Before joining Capricorn Media Contact Services, the firm's public relations arm, the 24-year-old spent a year working as a press officer for the National Assembly in Wales, Cardiff Bay, and spent three weeks in Westminster's 'war room' shadowing Ann Widdecombe's press officer.
Educated at Clitheroe Royal Grammar School, Alexa has a BA Hons in English Literature from the University of Durham and a Postgraduate Diploma in journalism from the Cardiff School of Journalism.
Alisdair Scobbie, head of PR at Capricorn, said: "We are very pleased to have Alexa on board. She joins us with a strong and varied PR background and will play a key part in the future growth of the agency."
