TETLEY WALKER 1 DARWEN 0
DARWEN failed to capitalise against ten-man Tetley Walker in one of their poorest displays of the season.
Despite early pressure, Steve Wilkes's side sat back and let Tetley Walker come at them.
Their best chance of the first half fell to Gary Bickerstaffe, but he failed to make contact with the cross. On 70 minutes, Tetley Walker's keeper was sent off for deliberate handball after he tried to stop a Denny Khan shot yards outside of his area. Soon after, the home side were ahead when Barry Edwardson rose at the back post to head past Lee Purvis.
Tetley Walker could have had more but Purvis was a match for two late efforts. "This has undone all the good work we have done over the last few weeks," said Wilkes.
"If you want to win titles you have to come and beat teams like Tetley Walker, but they wanted it more than us."
