THE Oswaldtwistle Players are taking a break from rehearsals for "An Ideal Husband" to hold a literary evening on Friday19 jan at James St Club, Oswaldtwistle, at 7.30pm.
Everyone's welcome to do a "turn" or reading, or just come along and enjoy the show.
Gayle Knight, of the Players, said: "It is a great opportunity for Directors to see new talent, or to see old talent in a new light but the main aim of the evening is to have some fun and for everyone to have an opportunity to perform."

FROM floods to desert islands -- Robinson Crusoe and Man Friday will appear at the newly renovated Hippodrome Theatre, Todmorden, Todmorden St Joseph's Society's new pantomime.
The theatre on Halifax Road, Todmorden, was completely refurbished following the flooding last year.
"Robinson Crusoe" will run from tomorrow to Saturday, January 17 to 20. Tickets, costing £4 or £3 are available from Todmorden Information Centre on 01254 818181.
GOLDEN Girl-type comedy "The Cemetery Club" will be staged at Burnley Mechanics Theatre this week.
Burnley Garrick Club are presenting the tale of three widows who meet up with a widower on their monthly trips to their husbands' graves.
Award winning director Carol Anne Connolly will direct the play which runs from tomorrow to Saturday, January 17 to 20. Tickets cost £4.50 or £5 and are available by calling 01282 664400.
