A BURNLEY man accused of murder has denied the charge against him. Imtiaz Hussain, 22, of Walpole Street, Burnley, pleaded not guilty to murdering Iain McKay between September 29 and October 2 last year.
A teenager also appeared in the dock at Preston Crown Court to deny a charge of doing acts tended and intended to pervert the course of justice.
Victoria MacDonald, 19, of Victoria Road, Burnley, pleaded not guilty to a charge which alleges she provided police investigating Mr McKay's killing with false information.
A trial was set for May 14 to be heard at Preston Crown Court. Hussain was remanded in custody by the judge, Mr Justice Sachs. MacDonald was remanded on conditional bail.
