SUPERMARKET giants Asda have kicked off their Christmas present amnesty for people whose gifts did not quite hit the mark.
Staff at their Colne superstore are appealing for anybody to bring in their unwanted presents so they can donate them to the Pendleside Hospice, Reedley.
The scheme's first donation was made by general store manager Chris Coulman, after he got two of the same CD. He said: "We are looking for any kind of gifts whether it be toys or books, clothes CDs or videos.
"Customers can bring them to us at the store and we will collate them and take them down to the hospice so they can have the benefits of things we won't use."
The amnesty ends on Monday January 29.
