I THINK the FA have made the right choice in opting for Cardiff and the Millennium Stadium to stage the FA Cup and other major finals while Wembley is rebuilt.
I know it probably won't feel the same to many people because Wembley was "the place" to go and see your team in a major final.
But with the stadium in Cardiff, more or less brand new and rebuilt and holding 72,000, it's the nearest you will get to an atmosphere like Wembley which was unique.
Obviously, grounds like Old Trafford, which now holds 67,000, could have been chosen, but it would have been "second rate," if, for example, Manchester United got to the final.
They would have too much an advantage playing on their home ground.
I know it will take a little while to sink in and get used to the idea, but I think the FA have got it spot on this time in choosing Cardiff.
