I READ with interest your article "£1 million down the drain" (LET, January 10).
My own personal experience relating to one particular department over the past 18 months has been that if you are a law-abiding citizen and pay your taxes, you are expected to 'put up and shut up.'
If on the other hand you are a wrong-doer, causing maximum disruption to your neighbours, you are given every assistance.
I believe we need a completely new regime, preferably one that would be prepared to listen to the wishes of the electorate who pay their wages.
