I WAS born in St Helens 77 years ago and have lived in Lincolnshire since 1953, but at heart I will always be a true Lancashire lass.
My maiden name was Heaton, my grandfather was a councillor at Eccleston for many years and we had a tobacconist's shop on Duke Street/New Cross Street.
I was born in Kiln Lane and I worked at the Capitol Cinema in Duke Street.
I love to go back to see the old haunts and was wondering if any of my old pals are still there and would care to drop me a line for old times sake.
I also attended Rivington Road School, winning a scholarship for English.
My brother-in-law in Liverpool posts me the Star occasionally and I enjoy reading it very much.
