Weaverham Rangers 22 Parr Hare& Hounds 10 HOUNDS once again travelled without the full complement of 17 players -- although they did have the 'luxury' of a starting 13 and one substitute -- and were unlucky to be beaten by a typically physical Weaverham outfit.
With 10 minutes to go the score stood at 12-10 to the home side with Hounds pressing for what would surely have proved the winning try. But the visitors, rightly, opted to go for a penalty goal and when the kick drifted wide Weaverham hit back to score two late tries to give them a flattering victory margin.
This was another spirited effort by a Hounds side, with no fewer than six teenagers in their ranks, who were subjected to a series of high tackles and swinging arms by a home team who were fortunate not to have anyone dismissed until the dying seconds when it was irrelevant.
Hounds' points came from tries by Kev Parylo and Anthony Harrison, with Parylo also adding a goal.
Loose-forward Mick Burke was outstanding for Hounds, with Paul Proudlove, Mike Corrigan, Lee Johnson and Paul Roberts also impressing in a good team effort.
