A RADCLIFFE man was stabbed three times following a night out with his family.
Detectives were yesterday expected to interview the victim, who is currently recovering from his injuries in Bury General Hospital.
The man, his wife and a 22-year-old nephew were attacked by a gang of youths at 1am on Sunday (Jan 14) as they walked along Knowles Street in Radcliffe following a night out in a local pub.
The woman was punched in face and the nephew suffered a cut to his left cheek before the man was stabbed in the stomach. The 16-year-old girlfriend of the nephew was not attacked.
The identity of the victims is not yet known.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the attack and to the identity of a jester-type woolly hat which was worn by one of the attackers. The hat was recovered at the scene and has been sent for forensic examination.
