ST Helens District Citizen's Advice Bureau (CAB) is changing the way its services are delivered. Starting Monday, February 5, an advisor will be available for a one-hour appointment on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Sessions can be booked by calling the appointment line on 01744 737866, which will be open from January 22, 2001.
The CAB will also have new opening hours from February 5, which are as follows: Monday: 10am to 1pm (drop-in service) and 1 to 4pm (telephone service); Tuesday: 10am to 4pm (appointments and telephone service); Wednesday: 10am to 1pm (drop-in service) and 1 to 4pm (telephone service);Thursday:10am to 4pm limited appointments and telephone service; Friday: 10am to 4pm appointments and telephone service.
The telephone service has also changed. If it is not possible to speak to an advisor, callers will be given a choice of messages. The St Helens CAB number is 0870 7510941 (calls are charged at national call rate).
Anyone interested in becoming a CAB volunteer can ring 01744 751380 for more information, alternatively pop along to the volunteer taster session on Thursday, February 8, at 2pm in the St Helens Citizen's Advice Bureau, Waterloo Street, St Helens.
