TWO police officers from St Helens were among 24 officers of Merseyside Police commended by the Chief Constable, Norman Bettison, at a ceremony held at police HQ in Liverpool.
DC Paul Ford was commended for "outstanding professionalism and motivation displayed when, during the course of a search, secured and preserved evidence of previously unreported serious sexual offences against young children, ensuring the arrest and conviction of the offender".
Constable Stephen Adams was commended for "diligence, enthusiasm and commitment to the role of uniformed constable, which resulted in numerous quality arrests for crime and kindred offences".
