MAYOR of St Helens, Pat Robinson, will open the borough's third nature reserve in Sidings Lane, Rainford, on Wednesday, January 31
The former colliery site has been declared a nature reserve by St Helens Council, St Helens Wildlife Advisory Group and English Nature and its opening will be marked by the planting of a commemorative tree by Councillor Robinson.
Created as part of a 10-year programme between the council and the wildlife advisory group, the Sidings Lane site follows those at Stanley Bank Meadow, Blackbrook and Clinkham Wood.
