PUPILS, parents and members of the community will benefit from a newly-installed information technology suite at Sutton Manor Primary School.
The high-tech resource centre is the first of 48 centres which will be provided in schools across the borough over the next six years.
Taking computing facilities into the 21st century, the equipment will not only boost the IT know-how of youngsters and their teachers, but the community too. Facilities include Internet and Intranet access.
Combined lessons for children and their parents have been set up at the Forest Road school along with word processing courses for local people.
The project has been funded by the Single Regeneration Budget 'Count Me In' initiative via Ravenhead Renaissance and the education department's Quality Assurance Division.
Head teacher Miss Dorothy Allen said: "This is an excellent facility which will be wonderful for the school and the community alike."
