ARNOLD School in Blackpool has held its very own version of the New Year's Honours List to reward six pupils who have excelled in the arts.
Throughout November and December last year the pupils earned a variety of awards for their involvement in music and drama.
Callum Au, 11, won the piano and brass classes at Blackpool Music Festival which was held at Bispham High School.
Sixth former Sally Hall was awarded a London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) bronze medal for various acting roles while Michael Stacey won a National Operatic and Dramatics Award (NODA) for the Most Promising Newcomer Under 18 in a musical.
Fellow sixth former Nina Flitman won the 16 and over acting solo and the Shakespeare Monologue Class at Blackpool Music Festival.
Alexandra Zaryckyj won the first prize with fellow pupil Stephanie Moussadis at Blackpool Music Festival in the duet class, as well as coming first in the Songs From The Shows class and the Set Piece, Solo Singer category. Alexandra also received a NODA for Most Outstanding Contribution To A Musical for her work with Cleveleys Youth Theatre.
Principal Bill Gillen said: "We congratulate these pupils on their most marvellous artistic awards. The arts are not only alive and well at Arnold School but positively thriving."
