FLORAL tributes have been laid at the site where a popular Morecambe schoolgirl died last week.
Leighann Baines, a bright, loving 10-year-old who attended Morecambe Bay Primary School, was fatally injured after colliding with a car on Euston Road.
Dozens of floral tributes and letters from school friends have been laid next to railings at the scene of the tragedy.
A keen singer and dancer, Leighann was the middle child of five and had two brothers and two sisters.
This week her mum, Samantha Baines, described how Leighann was a bubbly little girl who always had a beautiful smile and was kind and caring towards others.
She liked dolphins and enjoyed mimicking the songs and dance steps of pop stars.
