A POLICE motorcyclist was slightly injured when he was rammed and knocked off his bike by a stolen car in Colne.
PC Michael Raw spotted the red Ford Escort on Byron Road roundabout and followed it along Keighley Road through Laneshawbridge.
Near the Emmett Arms the vehicle skidded on to Haworth Road and stopped and when PC Raw caught up with the vehicle it sped off.
Sgt Eric Marshall said: "The vehicle stopped again about 300m further up the road near the trout farm and when the officer stopped the car reversed and knocked him off his bike."
The vehicle continued on the road towards Scartop Pine at Stanbury and was seen by several motorists being driven at excessive speed.
The car was abandoned on Oakworth Road It had been stolen from Ponden Mill on Monday.
