AFTER last weeks fine cup win Lytham struggled to get going and were fortunate not to concede more goals against a well organised Lancaster team. The second half was a much closer contest without the problem caused by the fierce sun set in the first half, but Lytham failed to finish off some well worked attacks and Lancaster scored their third goal on the break. With 15 minutes to go Ruth Blackburn scored from a well worked penalty corner drill. Lytham then worked hard to reduce the deficit but it was all too much too late.
LSA Ladies 2nd XI lost 5-0 to a young and powerful Nelson team.
