TWO years' hard work has paid off for a Pendle teenager.
Kate Bancroft, 19, has been promoted to adult training co-ordinator at Northern Technologies/Pendle Training, Nelson.
It marks the culmination of two years' effort by Kate since leaving Primet High School, Colne.
Rather than going to college, she joined Pendle Training as an administration trainee, undertaking a modern apprentice programme in business administration.
Her new role means she is responsible for the "employed status" training programme, looking after trainees in other companies and carrying out audits.
"There's a lot of time spent with students so it's important to have a good rapport with them," she said. "I really enjoy it.
"Helping students find a job they enjoy and watching them develop is really rewarding."
Kate's supervisor, Andrea Ridehalgh, said: "The modern apprentice programme gives valuable experience plus a qualification. Kate has proved herself very quickly and is an asset to the team."
In the future Kate wants to gain a marketing qualification and pursue a career in business.
