IT has been reported that the Clean Water Act prevents the Government from passing legislation to add fluoride to the water supply so they are putting pressure on North West Water to do so, claiming that there is no detrimental effect.
Whether fluoride is good for the teeth of growing children or it can cause them harm is not the issue. The real issue is whether the Government should be allowed to introduce mass medication without the people's approval or consent.
We have a right to expect that the water supplied to us is clean, pure and fit to drink and not contaminated by medication. To do otherwise is criminal and impinges on our human rights. This is one issue that needs urgent consideration by the Court of Human Rights in Europe.
