POLITICALLY-minded pensioners from Bury will assemble beside the seaside this spring to take part in a special parliament for the elderly.
Members of Bury Pensioners' Association will join delegates from across the country on April 30 for a three-day conference at Blackpool Winter Gardens.
The association is affiliated to the National Pensioners' Convention which organises the parliament.
Issues up for debate include pensions and the NHS. Last year more than 2,000 people attended.
Bury Pensioners' Association vice-chairman Mr Phil Kaiserman, from Radcliffe, said: "It's a very good event, with people from across the country discussing their common aims.
"In particular, we'll be discussing how to get what we want, which is the restoration of a link between pensions and earnings."
Anyone wishing to go along with Bury Pensioners' Association can contact secretary Cyril Fletcher on 01706 368160.
