BLACKBURN boss Graeme Souness today urged Christian Dailly to prove him wrong in response to criticism from the player following his move to West Ham.
The Scottish international defender said he was 'angry and upset' at the way he was frozen at Ewood following Souness's arrival.
But Souness has refused to get drawn into a war of words with the Scot. And he stands by his decision to let the player leave for a cut-price fee of £2million.
"When people find they are not in the team you would expect them to be unhappy about the situation and I'm sure Christian was no different," said Souness. "But football is all about opinions and my opinion was that there were people at this club who were better."
"All I would say now is he must go out and prove me wrong and anyone else who may have doubts about him."
"I only wish him well in his future career at West Ham.
"I can understand his frustration but that's football."
