CHILDREN in Leigh, Atherton and Tyldesley are being given the chance to exhibit their work alongside a master of the art world.
Youngsters aged between five and 11 are invited to write about their cat or dog (or one belonging to a friend or relative) and to submit their story with an illustration or photograph they have taken of the pet.
The best entries of the North West Cats and Dogs Competition will be displayed at The Lowry for a month -- close to an exhibition of work by L S Lowry, featuring his famous cats and dogs.
The first prize winner will be awarded £1,000 worth of books or computer equipment for their school.
Schools with any queries about the competition or rules should contact Nicola Hughes on 0161 869 7204.
