I AM sitting here on a cold, frosty morning and thinking that, but for the grace of God, I would now be under the earth.
On April 13 last year, at 5am, I had an aneurysm. My husband woke and saw me in the throes of it. I don't remember much about it except that I woke to find myself in Bury General Hospital.
The ambulance had arrived within 15 minutes and I was told how the paramedics had worked on me before taking me, still unconscious, to Bury General Hospital.
I wish to pay tribute to these people who saved my life, and also to the staff on Wrigley Ward where I stayed until I was well. I was lucky, I had no consequent disabilities and am able to carry on my life and use whatever talents God gave me.
What would we do without our medical staff, doctors and nurses etc?
