MATT Jansen today insisted he's starting to become more of a team player as he prepares for tomorrow's televised showdown with Birmingham on Sky.
The England Under 21 international lit up the corresponding fixture on Boxing Day with a stunning solo goal as Rovers ran out 2-1 victors.
And he would love a repeat performance tomorrow -- although he accepts he can over do it at times.
"That was very pleasing on Boxing Day because I was out of the side for that particular game and that goal helped to propel me back into the team.
"I think they'll be a little bit worried after that so, hopefully, I can repeat it tomorrow.
"I know the manager has talked about me over-playing it but I think that's got less and less throughout my career.
"They used to say I played like I was in the playground but I think that's being drummed out of me.
"The manager's never said anything to me personally about it but maybe he was having a bit of a go to give me a kick up the backside."
With tough away games to come against Bolton, Watford and Nottingham Forest, Jansen knows all about the importance of getting a result at St Andrews.
But he is confident Rovers can cope with City's rugged approach.
"They're a strong, physical side throughout and they'll be well organised but we can beat anyone on our day," said Jansen.
"The lads are all buzzing. We've only lost one in our last 18 and, if we can keep that form going, then there's no reason why we can't pinch that second promotion spot."
"It was a great result for us on Boxing Day, a little gap has now opened up between us and Birmingham, and we want to stretch that by winning again tomorrow."
