A 41-year-old man who sexually assaulted a schoolgirl will face sentence at Burnley Crown Court on February 16.
David Hartley, of Berkeley Crescent, Padiham, was found guilty of a total of three counts of indecent assault after a week-long trial.
He was earlier cleared by the jury on the judge's direction of a further six indecency allegations and the panel was discharged from returning verdicts on another four similar charges. The defendant denied all the allegations.
Judge Raymond Bennett remanded Hartley in custody for reports and told him prison was inevitable.
The court had heard how the victim confided in a school friend what had gone on and they then went to tell a teacher.
