CLARETS' soccer legend Jimmy McIlroy speaking about the glory days of Burnley FC is one of the highlights of a video film looking at the history of Burnley in the 20th century.
The video: "A Sense of Time" has been produced by Burnley Camcorder Group and staff at Towneley Hall.
It shows interviews with people who have helped shape, make and influence the town's history and features industry, farming, transport, schooldays, sport and leisure.
Susan Bourne, curator at Towneley Hall, said: "This film has been made by Burnley people about Burnley's history as part of the Millennium celebrations.
"It looks at the town's long history with special emphasis on the 20th century and includes interviews and old and new images."
Other interviews show Maude Waggott recalling the harrowing Hapton Valley disaster, Mike Clarke on the Leeds and Liverpool canal, Rita Halsall talking about her husband Eric's involvement with television and especially the One Man and His Dog programme, and Susan Bourne explaining how Towneley has developed as a museum.
The video is available from Towneley Hall at £12.99 (£14 including package and postage).
