ROVERS: Blackburn Rovers are determined to make a draw at every home game for the remainder of the season -- and it's all about promotion!
But supporters need not worry for the 'draw' and 'promotion' in question have nothing to do with manager Graeme Souness, tactical planning or the football action -- it's all about the club's new half-time lottery. Lucky 5 will start at the FA Cup clash with Derby County on Saturday Jan 27th.
Lucky 5 tickets, priced at 50p, offer three chances to win the top prize, the value of which will depend on the number of tickets sold.
Rovers' Commercial Manager Ken Beamish explains: "Lucky 5 replaces the bingo game which, in spite of an extended run, didn't quite capture the interest of our fans.
"Consequently, we have responded to supporters opinion and reverted to a more traditional prize draw and 50 per cent of the total ticket sales revenue will determine the cash prize up to a maximum of £2,000.
"Every ticket will house three lines of five numbers and if one of your lines matches the line flashed up on the big screen then you are the winner.
"The concept is that simple and we are hoping it proves very popular over the remaining games."
