A PARISH priest gave his last service at St Mary's Church, Gisburn, on Sunday as he prepared to retire.
Canon Graham Walker, who was priest-in-charge of the parish, is also retiring from St Aidan's CE Church, Hellifield, and plans to live in High Bentham.
He said: "It's a wonderful mixed rural community here in Gisburn and I'm going to miss it. I will stay in touch with the friends I've made here."
Canon Walker, 65, was put in charge of St Mary's seven years ago, but continued to live in his other parish in Hellifield.
The Rev Gill Hall, who came to St Mary's five years ago, will continue as a priest in the parish.
