A TAXI driver was held at gunpoint and robbed of nearly £100 when he dropped three men off in Whitefield in the early hours of Saturday (Jan 20).
The Rochdale cabbie had collected the fare from his home town and was told to go to a cash machine before heading to Parr Brook Close in Whitefield.
Two of the men got out of the car while the third grabbed the driver by the neck and placed a weapon in his back.
The driver was then told he would be shot unless he handed over money. A bag containing £70 was stolen and a further £20 was taken from the victim's pockets.
All three passengers are described as white, in their late 20s, and wearing dark clothing. Two of them had short, dark hair while the third man had long brown hair.
