SOCCER: Bury boss Andy Preece is hoping his side's Division Two match against Brentford will get the go-ahead tonight but the Gigg Lane pitch is making it a doubt.
"The pitch is looking a bit dodgey. It is still quite hard and the rain is just settling on top," said the player-boss who is struggling with an Achilles injury.
WInger Paul Reid and midfielder Darren Bullock were both set to miss Saturday's postponed clash with Stoke through suspension -- and will now sit out tonight's clash.
Bury are too close to the relegation zone for comfort and Preece knows a win against the play-off chasing club is vital.
"It will be a tough game but if we play as well as I know we can, we can get a result," added Preece
