FOOTBALL fans who are not afraid to show their true colours have the chance to own a Manchester United shirt signed by former captain and footballing hero, Eric Cantona.
The shirt has been donated to Hyndburn Mayoress Sandra Hayes, who hopes to auction it to the highest bidder to raise funds for local charities. The red and white top is sized medium to large and was given to the mayoress by friend who wants to remain anonymous. Mrs Hayes said: "It is going to be framed and we hope we can get more than £1,000 for it. We want to benefit local charities that haven't got much money.
"It's a great chance for football fans and local businesses to help raise some money for needy charities and for the people in Hyndburn to show how generous they are." To place a bid for the shirt should telephone 01254 392827 and leave their name, number and bid on the answerphone.
