SCOUTS from Clitheroe and the surrounding district showed their appreciation of Hyndburn and Ribble Valley Council for Voluntary Service with the presentation of a certificate.
The special ceremony was held at Clitheroe's Castle Mews and was made through the Scout Council for the help Hyndburn and Ribble Valley CVS had given in finding leaders for their movement. he CVS is a voluntary service and relies on outside funding.
It was the first recipient of the certificate which the Scout group had given.
"It was an example of the Scouts' gratitude towards the CVS' for all its hard work over the past 18 months to two years that we had been working together," said district commissioner Glen Fendall.
