THE St Helens Hockey Club's Mens Section entertained Didsbury at the weekend and came away with the points in a well-contested game.
The first half was goalless until the dying seconds when St Helens got a penalty corner and Paul Horton slotted it away.
In the second half though St Helens stepped up a gear showing excellent passing skills while breaking at pace to end up victors by 6-2 with further goals from Dave Aspinall, Mark Alcock (2) and Alan Travis (2).
The Ladies Section travelled to arch rivals Wigan but unfortunately were beaten 6-0.
