ST HELENS Council has awarded Eccleston Parish Council a grant of £3,372 towards the funding of a new play area.
Councillor Terry Hanley, Portfolio Member for Environmental Protection, said: "The award follows a survey which identified the need for more play facilities in the Eccleston area and we have been working with the parish council to ensure this issue is quickly addressed."
The site will be determined following consultation with local residents.
