YOUNG people from the Eccleston and Windle Parish Community Project have successfully completed three recreation sites with hard-standing basketball areas.
And its thanks to funding from the Foundation for Sport and the Arts and the Sport England Lottery Fund.
Chairman Teresa Simms said: "The young people and committees have worked extremely hard to complete this ambitious initiative, and are rightly proud of their achievement. We are also grateful to St Helens Council for all their help and advice."
The Eccleston and Windle Parish Community Project is aimed specifically at young people between the ages of 11 and 18, who meet in Eccleston Library on the first Monday of each month between 7 and 8pm.
Any young people who live in the Eccleston/Windle area, who would like to take part are welcome to attend the monthly meetings.
