GIRLS from St Matthew's CofE Primary School, in New Hall Lane, Preston, have proved they are as tough as the lads on the pitch after scooping the Preston School's five-a-side championship on Sunday (January 21).
The tournament took place at the sports centre at BNFL Springfields site in Lea, Preston, and involved 14 football squads from schools right across Lancashire.
And the Year 10 pupils played eight hard fought matches before they scooped the trophy shield.
