PRESTON residents are being asked to get out their goggles and swimming trunks and make a splash to help raise £2m for cancer charities as part of the national BT Swimathon event.
West View Leisure Centre, off Ribbleton Lane, Preston, is one of 500 swimming pools in the UK taking part in the contest from March 19 to 25.
Every penny raised will help Macmillan Cancer Relief, Breakthrough Breast Cancer and the Prostate Cancer Charity.
To take part call free on 0800 7317316 or pick up an entry form at West View Leisure Centre's reception desk.
