TWO first half goals from Paul Ryan and Brad Pates guided Bamber Bridge through to the quarter-finals of the UniBond League Cup.
Brig went up against Accrington Stanley on 12 minutes when Paul Ryan latched on to a poor clearance and unleashed a twenty-yard screamer.
The home side continued the pressure and went ahead three minutes before the interval.
Substitute Pates played a neat one-two with striker Andy Whittaker and hit the net from just inside the box.
There was a frantic finish as Stanley pulled a goal back 20 minutes from full time, but Brig held on for a well-earned victory.
