A RESPECTED former Citizen sub-editor, Geoff Taylor has died.
Mr Taylor, 77, worked part-time at the Chorley Town Crier, later the Chorley Citizen, before retiring from journalism in the late 1980s.
The Coppull-born journalist -- one of four children -- served as an RAF pilot during the Second World War.
He then began his newspaper career at the Chorley Guardian, where he joined his younger brother Dennis, a reporter, and his editor brother-in-law, the late George Birtill.
An honorary member of Shaw Hill Golf Club, he leaves a wife, Doreen and a daughter, Vanessa.
