THE only pet I was allowed to keep as a child was a hamster. This is why I particularly liked the www.hamsterdance2.com/
The site is full of cute hamsters strutting their stuff to the funky hamster theme tune.
The hamsters were all the craze last year -- their little song even found its way into the pop charts, to the annoyance of many, although I can't remember them.
But if you want to have some rodent fun, get on down with the hamsters!
