LYTHAM responded well after last weeks poor performance with one of their best results of this seasons campaign. Ruth Blackburn opened the scoring following a well taken penalty corner routine involving a good one-two with Heidi Whitehead.
The second half saw Garstang pull one back before Whitehead beating three defenders scored a fantastic solo goal.
Finally Lian Atkinson rounded off a tenacious performance with a goal scored from close range.
Mention should be made of the departure of Kelly Ferguson who has been such a power of strength in the defence.
Ladies 2nd XI match was postponed.
LSA Ladies 3rd XI beat Morcambe 4ths 5-1Claire Hill, Cheryl Bridges, Sarah Lloyd and Helen Murdoch (2). The player of the match was right-back Diana Harrison.
The Badgers had a 3-1 victory at Springfields with Matt Edwards, Jonny Robinson and Keith Stone scoring excellent goals to secure their first victory of the season.
